​1. Iconic “Mushroom” Design
​HKS utilizes a patented Super Honeycomb Frame. This hemispherical shape is designed to draw air from all directions, including the sides, providing a larger surface area for intake compared to standard cylindrical filters.
​2. Multi-Layer Filter Media
​Unlike standard paper filters, HKS uses a Dry 3-Layer or Wet 2-Layer polyurethane foam.
​The Outer Layer: Coarse foam to trap large dust particles.
​The Middle/Inner Layers: Finer foam to catch microscopic debris while maintaining high air velocity.
​3. Super Stealth Frame
​The internal framework features a streamlined “funnel” design. This reduces turbulence as air moves from the filter into the intake pipe, ensuring the engine breathes as efficiently as possible.
